About Body Fat Percentage Calculator
The Body Fat Percentage Calculator estimates your body fat using the scientifically validated US Navy method and the BMI-based formula. Knowing your body fat percentage gives a more accurate picture of your fitness than weight alone — two people can weigh the same but have very different body compositions.
US Navy Method
The US Navy body fat formula uses circumference measurements (neck, waist, and hip for women) along with height to estimate body fat percentage. For men: 495 ÷ (1.0324 − 0.19077 × log(waist − neck) + 0.15456 × log(height)) − 450. This method is widely used by the military and fitness professionals.
