Nepal Salary & Tax Calculator बारेमा
Nepal's payroll system is unique — employees have mandatory deductions for Provident Fund (PF), Citizens Investment Trust (CIT), or Social Security Fund (SSF), plus income tax based on Nepal's own tax slabs. This calculator handles all of it accurately for FY 2081/82 (2024/25).
Nepal Tax Slabs FY 2081/82
For unmarried individuals: 1% up to Rs. 5,00,000; 10% on next Rs. 2,00,000 (up to Rs. 7L); 20% on next Rs. 13,00,000 (up to Rs. 20L); 30% on next Rs. 20,00,000 (up to Rs. 40L); 36% above Rs. 40,00,000. Married couples get an extra Rs. 1,00,000 tax-free threshold (exempt up to Rs. 6L).
PF + CIT vs SSF
Most government and large company employees contribute to PF (10% of basic) + CIT (10% of basic). Newer employees may be under SSF (11% of gross), with employers contributing 20% under SSF. Both employee contributions are tax-deductible.
Employer Contributions
Under PF+CIT: employer also contributes 10%+10% of basic (not deducted from your salary — extra cost to employer). Under SSF: employer contributes 20% of gross salary.
