About ROI Calculator
The ROI Calculator helps you quickly determine the return on investment for any investment, project, or business decision. Enter your initial investment and final value (or net profit) to calculate ROI percentage, annualised ROI, and profit or loss.
What is ROI?
Return on Investment (ROI) is the percentage gain or loss on an investment relative to its cost. Formula: ROI% = (Net Profit ÷ Initial Investment) × 100. A positive ROI means you gained money; a negative ROI means a loss.
Annualised ROI
For investments held over multiple years, annualised ROI (CAGR) shows the equivalent annual return: Annualised ROI = ((1 + ROI/100)^(1/years) − 1) × 100. This allows fair comparison between investments held for different time periods.
Compare Investments
The comparison feature lets you add up to 3 investments side by side and ranks them by ROI, helping you identify which investment performed best.
