Why Age Matters in Loksewa
Every Loksewa vacancy notice specifies a minimum and maximum age limit based on the post category. Age is calculated as of the application deadline (dartaa miiti) in BS calendar. Even being one day over the maximum age disqualifies a candidate, making accurate calculation critical.
Age Limits by Post Category
Non-Gazetted posts (Kharidar, etc.): Minimum 18, Maximum 35 years for general candidates. Women, disabled, and indigenous candidates get a 5-year relaxation (max 40). Government employees with 3+ years service can apply up to age 45.
Gazetted Class III / Officer Level: Minimum 21, Maximum 35 (general), 40 (women/disabled/indigenous), 45 (government employees).
Gazetted Class II: Minimum 21, Maximum 40 (general), 45 (women/disabled).
Police / APF / Army: Minimum 18, Maximum 25 (no relaxation).
