Nepal Vehicle Tax Calculator के बारे में
The Nepal Vehicle Tax Calculator helps vehicle owners quickly find out how much annual tax they need to pay for vehicle renewal. Whether you own a motorcycle, car, jeep, or van, this tool calculates your tax based on engine CC and province.
How Vehicle Tax Works in Nepal
In Nepal, vehicle owners must pay annual tax (नवीकरण कर) to renew their vehicle registration. The tax amount depends on the vehicle type, engine capacity (CC), and the province where the vehicle is registered. Bagmati Province (Kathmandu Valley) has the highest rates due to higher traffic volume and urban infrastructure costs.
Motorcycle Tax Rates (Bagmati Province)
Motorcycles up to 125cc pay Rs 2,500 per year. Bikes from 126–250cc pay Rs 4,500/year, and bikes above 250cc pay Rs 7,500/year. Electric motorcycles enjoy a discounted rate of approximately Rs 2,000/year.
Car Tax Rates (Bagmati Province)
Cars up to 1000cc pay Rs 5,000/year. The rate increases with engine size: 1001–1500cc (Rs 7,500), 1501–2000cc (Rs 10,000), 2001–2500cc (Rs 15,000), and above 2500cc (Rs 25,000). Electric cars are charged approximately Rs 4,000/year.
Renewal Deadline
Vehicle tax in Nepal must be renewed by the end of Ashad (mid-July) each year. Late renewal attracts additional fines.
