PIN Code की शुरुआत

India का Postal Index Number (PIN) system 15 August 1972 को launch हुआ था — Shriram Bhikaji Velankar ने, जो Ministry of Communications में Additional Secretary थे। उनका मकसद था: postal sorting को आसान बनाना क्योंकि India में बहुत सारे city और street के नाम duplicate हैं।
